Diners in Manchester have voted Michael Caines at ABode Manchester the best restaurant in the city.

The first toptable.com Manchester restaurant awards were based entirely on ratings and reviews provided by restaurant goers who visited the 64 eateries listed on the website.

The Michael Caines Restaurant claimed the top spot in two of the seven award categories including Best Overall Restaurant. It also clinched the award for Best Food.

Michael Caines said, “We are very pleased to receive this award and to be recognised as one of the best dining establishments in the city. It is a real credit to my executive chef Ian Matfin, the team and all their hard work.”

The inaugural toptable.com Manchester awards reflect the site’s growth in the city where the credit crunch has failed to dent the appetite of restaurant goers.
