New Sales Director for Grosvenor House

Marriott has appointed Vicki Richards as Director of Sales for its flagship hotel, Grosvenor House on Park Lane. Richards is a Marriott veteran having previously been Sales Director for Marriott Hotels International, based in the London office. Prior to that she was Director of Sales and Marketing Director for the London Marriott, Park Lane and Director of Sales at the Renaissance, Chancery Court. She comments, “I’m thrilled to be joining the Grosvenor House team. Having worked across the Marriott portfolio for a number of years I know it is a brand that has great vision. The restoration of Grosvenor House will place the property firmly back on the map of London’s five star destination hotels. I am looking forward to introducing new clients and driving the business forward.” Richards joins Grosvenor House at an exciting time. The hotel is undergoing the most extensive restoration of any London hotel costing in excess of £100 million. Every part of the hotel is undergoing full refurbishment. The new reception, lobby and forecourt have already been revealed with other parts of the hotel due to come back in phases. The project is set to complete in mid-2008 when Grosvenor House will become the first JW Marriott hotel in the UK, JW being the pinnacle of the Marriott brand.
