Planning sought for Trocadero redevelopment

London Trocadero Limited, the company set up by owner Golfrate to manage the redevelopment of the London Trocadero, has submitted a planning application for the complete redevelopment of the site. LTL wants to provide a 600 bedroom hotel (working with Accor) on the upper floors of the site, while providing larger retail and leisure units on the lower floors. If approved, the company hopes to complete the first phase of the £145 million project, which includes the hotel, by 2011 in time for the Olympics.
