VEEMA & THE POWERS is a newly formed function group featuring some of the country's finest young musicians. Their repetoire consists of a stellar collection of classic soul, funk and motown and also lounge jazz and bossa nova. Her recent gigs have included The Hackney Empire, the Mela Festival, and the Cafe de Paris, in London where she is based. Sam Dunn - Guitar, Backing Vocals Sam is a professor of guitar at Blackheath Conservatoire and is an MMus Graduate Of The Guildhall School Of Music. He is a full time pro guitarist and has years of gigging and recording experience including BBC radio 3 and 4, NYJO and several national theatre tours. Charles Bridgestock Perriss - Bass, Backing Vocals Charles is an experienced bass player and guitarist and a talented singer songwriter. Based in Kent he plays with the popular fusion group 'Mahatma', whose debut album is nearing completion. Simon Bridgestock Perriss - Drums Simon is a professional drummer, bassist and guitarist and still finds time to run his studio, Rhomboid Mane Productions. He recently produced Carnelian's debut album - 'The Changeling' which is soon to be released. Nicholas Peck - Keyboards, Backing Vocals Nick is an award winning composer and is a graduate from the Guildhall School of Music in London. He has performed with many of Britain's top jazz musicians.
