Bank Ground Farm is situated on the east shore of Conistonwater with one of the finest views of the lake and fells imaginable.

More famously it was the setting for Arthur Ransomes tales of Swallows and Amazons,

and features extensively both in the books and the film starring Virginia Macenna

The Farm House dates back over three hundred years and has been extensively refurbished

retaining a wealth of original exposed beams, log fires and many other period features.
