Beech Barns is a large house, owned for many years by the Wilson family. Eric and Sonia Siggs (Tim's parents) bought the property two years ago and gave us the opportunity to run Beech Barns as a Guest House accommodation to which it is very well suited. Having undergone a serious makeover it now has nine large bedrooms, all with excellent en suite facilities. Our Master suite offers twin wash basins and a large shower bath. We have a professional kitchen well capable of catering for our maximum capacity of eighteen guests.* We have a breakfast room with traditional farm house charm and a hint of the Alps too. We also have extensive relaxation areas including a formal lounge, a t.v and games room, and an open function space. Outside you can enjoy strolling or sitting quietly in the mature garden surrounded by many interesting trees, and a very old well which is now listed. There is a large patio area for lazing in the sun or enjoying some tea and home made cakes. Bedrooms are well furnished and there is no need to leave this comfort zone. You will find a comfy chair, a decent t.v set and full digital Freeview coverage. We have wireless internet access covering bedrooms and lounge areas. Beds are Doubles and King size with exception of one twin room, and all rooms have full sized walk in showers with stacks of steaming hot water (master suite has a bath). We provide Egyptian linen, towels, and bath care products. There are hair dryers and large mirrors. Tea and coffee are available any time, along with home made cakes and biscuits to keep you going until dinner. Dining Breakfast is of course our core product. It's a full spread so that you choose on the day. You can go continental, or cooked English, or have both. There are no restrictions and we aim to source the best quality local, freerange and organic products. We have a choice of teas and fresh coffee and juices, and supply is unlimited. Fresh fruit, yoghurts and various breads will be at your disposal. Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 9am weekdays, and 8am ' til 10:00am at the weekend. We have an open and flexible approach so if you have special requirements please ask. If you are vegetarian, fear not, as we will cater to your needs to the same high standard as everyone else. We can also provide evening meals which may be anything from a Club sandwich and salad garnish, to four course with canapes. If you have meal requirements please ask in advance. We are happy to cater for larger groups wishing to have a dinner party and are able to cater to your requirements or suggest a menu for you.
