This lovely old sporting lodges stands in its own secluded grounds on the shores of Loch Ba and close to Benmore on the Isle of Mull. Once the property of the Duke of Argyll, Benmore Lodge was used as a honeymoon house for the Princess Louise and the DukeÕs son. The honeymoon lasted 3 years! - during this time the Princess undertook three paintings on the drawing room walls. These have been preserved and are listed for protection. A classic sporting lodge, Benmore offers spacious and comfortable acommodation for a large family or party of friends. There is a large games room with full size snooker/billiards table, darts and a piano. Fishing with 1 rod on the river and a boat on the loch (2 rods) by prior arrangement. While this property sleeps 12, a further cottage sleeping 5 is also available. Mull is reached via ferry form Oban. The nearest airport is Glasgow.
