It would be difficult to find a more majestic and inspiring scenery than that of the North West Highlands, dominated by Ben More Assynt, which is the largest mountain in Sutherland. Inchnadamph is a family-run, fishing hotel at the head of beautiful Loch Assynt. Well known to anglers, the hotel offers guests free fishing for salmon, grilse, brown trout, sea trout and char. Eight boats are available on various lochs by the roadside. There are salmon in six beats, and excellent brown trout in all lochs. An informal and friendly atmosphere prevails within the hotel. Guests will enjoy generous portions of traditional home-cooked food prepared to a very high standard, that will satisfy the hearty appetites stimulated by days spent in the open air. Magnificent red deer roam the hills, and are often seen in the hotel grounds. Take a short stroll along the road to Ardvreck Castle, built c.1490 by the MacLeods, now a three-storey ruin, from where you can have a clear view the length of Loch Assynt, with its many beautiful beaches and coves along the shores. Inchnadamph Hotel, which was originally a coaching inn over 200 years ago, has a variety of single, twin, double and family rooms. As a traditional, family run hotel, we pride ourselves on our hospitality, and extend a warm welcome to all our guests - including the four-legged kind!!
