At Jonathan Markson Tennis, we aim to provide to players of all ages and levels a rewarding and enjoyable tennis experience, where the coaching is serious but fun in an environment that is beautiful and relaxing.

OUR COACHES
The coaches at all our centres are selected not just for their knowledge of tennis but for their personal qualities, especially enthusiasm, patience, sense of humour and attentiveness to individual needs.
INSTRUCTION
Our tennis courses are designed for people of all ages and playing standards from beginners to the most advanced tournament players. The full week courses abroad provide 15 hours of coaching. In Oxford, the programme is 30 hours. For long weekends, we provide up to 9 hours of coaching.
To ensure maximum progress and compatibility, participants are divided, where possible, into groups according to approximate standard and age.
The day begins with a short talk and demonstration with the focus on a different stroke each day. The programmes help with fitness as well as technique, so that technical progress is underpinned by the ability to get into the right position every time. The mental aspect of tennis is equally important. Participants learn how to overcome nerves and adopt a tougher mental attitude, that ‘killer instinct’ which is so vital to success on the tennis court. The programmes are both informative and fun.
L0CATIONS
Each venue is chosen for its distinctive qualities. Our centre in the Algarve is situated in a village of natural beauty by the ocean with a climate that is ideal for year-round holidays. In Mallorca, we offer high-quality accommodation by the sea with year-round coaching on clay courts. The uniqueness of our location in Venice needs little explanation. Our clients play at the famous Ca’ del Moro Tennis Club on the Venice Lido and combine the relaxation of the Lido with the bustle and history of Venice. In Cyprus, we organise programmes at the luxurious Amathus Beach Hotel in historic Paphos. In Prague and Budapest, we offer tailor-made long weekends with coaching on clay courts and accommodation in the best five star hotels – Hotel Intercontinental in Prague and the Meridien in Budapest. We have exciting venues in Cape Town (ideal for winter months) and Tunisia as well as a new summer camp in Yorkshire and an Easter vacation camp in London. Our newest venue is the fabulous Conrad Hotel on Miami Beach, Florida - a great winter destination. The Oxford Camp takes place in the summer when the “City of dreaming spires” is at its most seductive. Participants experience the delight of playing on grass courts.
