Kirkbeck House is a luxurious and historic 19th century traditional Lakeland family home which adjoins one other and sits within a delightful enclosed garden. The house is ideal for all kinds of self-catering groups, being large and superbly appointed.

Kirkbeck is ideally located in the central Lake District in the beautiful village of Coniston. There are 8 good sized bedrooms providing luxury accommodation for up to 20 people. The rooms consist of 4 double rooms (1 with en-suite), 2 twin rooms, 1 quad room and a triple en-suite room.

The house has two spacious living rooms, a well-equipped modern kitchen and dinning area with separate utility and plenty of superb garden space. It is quietly situated in the village of Coniston, with easy access to John Ruskin's home, Brantwood. Coniston Water is just a short level walk away.

The house is crammed with loads of original features and has a spacious feel. Recently upgraded, additions have sympathetically combined the old and modern to offer you a family home with charm and warmth.

Location and Local Facilities: Situated in the attractive village of Coniston at the foot of the 'Old Man of Coniston', it is the perfect central Lake District location for branching out and exploring.

This popular, yet quiet, Lakeland village has two small supermarkets (one, with a very good butchers), a post office, four pubs (The Black Bull a must for all real ale drinkers) several cafes all serving food and an excellent restaurant 50m away.

Kirkbeck is ideal for children, with it's enclosed gardens and play park opposite. The school, which next to the house, has an outdoor swimming pool open during the summer holidays and tennis courts. The lake with its boating centre is only a 10 min level walk away.

There are many outdoor leisure pursuits in the area such as walking, fishing, canoeing, bike riding and painting. It is conveniently situated for Ambleside, Grasmere, Windermere and Hawkshead, which are all within a 30 minutes drive.
