Mount Ephraim is also licensed for civil weddings and its beautiful setting makes it the perfect venue for your reception. This Victorian country mansion, a member of the Historic Houses Association, is set in 10 acres of gardens, within an 800 acre estate. Ceremonies can be held in either the Main Hall or the outside Pavilion. The Pavilion is only suitable for Summer use. Mount Ephraim is a family home but is available as a wedding venue for both ceremonies and/or receptions during many weekends of the year. Mount Ephraim does not have in house caterers or florists so the prices quoted are for the hire of the venue only. All the catering, music and florists can be brought in. Clients can bring in their own alcohol.

Wedding Reception Text:

The house is available for receptions on Saturdays and weekdays. The maximum number for a formal sit down meal is about 100. For larger weddings or by preference receptions can be held in a marquee in the garden. The marquee is usually situated on the front lawn in front of the house and this gives wonderful views of the garden and is a truly beautiful site. A marquee wedding can accommodate between 60 and 450 guests. We can supply a list of marquee companies, or if you wish, this can be organised by us for you. We do recommend a local marquee company who we find most helpful and convenient to work with. It is sometimes requested that the house, particularly the Main Hall, is open for photos or a welcoming drink and guests have use of the inside toilet facilities. There is an extra cost for this. As part of the hire fee the gardens can be used for photos and also for the guests enjoyment.
