The O'Neill Surf Academy is operated by West Coast Surfari who have been an established surf school at Watergate Bay since 1997. Patrick & Sally Sweeney head the Academy and have a crew of dedicated male and female surf coaches trained to high standards, making them able to teach the amateur through to the advanced surfer.

The team boasts dedicated surfers that coach and travel the world year to year, fortunate enough to live the lifestyle they promote. The enthusiasm for the sport they love shows through in their coaching skills, and that's where you'll benefit! We offer a great variety of all ability surf courses from an intro session through to a week long course, Individual and small group coaching, longboard & shortboard training days, O'Neill feature days, ......and of course, not forgetting those Kids! With our hugely popular "Kids Only" surf school est.1999 still going strong, entertaining those nippers in those long summer weeks of school holidays is never a problem. The O'Neill Surf Academy is Open daily for 10 months from March to January so you may surf the season of choice. With our new surf school premises based right on the sand at the beautiful Watergate Bay there are many other facilities for use whilst on your surf course with us. Lessons start from £30 for a 3 hour session or £40 for a full day with discounts for groups of ten or more. The school also offers courses with accommodation starting at £120 for a two day break.
