Powderham Castle lies in a beautiful deer park setting on the banks of the River Exe, just a stone's throw from the historic cathedral city of Exeter. The Courtenay family have been welcoming visitors to the Castle since 1959, and over the years in excess of a million people have been through the doors.  Very little of the Castle itself has changed since those early days, but there are now many more attractions in the grounds for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

Powderham Castle dates from Medieval times and has been the historic family home of the Earl of Devon for over 600 years. It is set within an extensive landscaped deer park alongside the River Exe. Civil ceremonies and receptions use the magnificent state rooms or a marquee in the grounds.

Catering at the castle is now in-house and menus can be tailored to your requirements. A list of local accommodation with preferential rate agreements is available on request. Five rooms are available for hire within the castle, whie a marquee can be set up on the Dressage Lawn on the on the lakeside. Room hire is from £900 to £2600, with marquees from £2000.
