Nobles Venues > Stansted Park

.

Set in 1750 acres of glorious park and woodland on the Hampshire/West Sussex border. Stansted House is a prime example of the Carolean revival and the lavishly decorated Chapel of St Paul was an inspiration to the poet Keats.

Stansted is a real 'Upstairs Downstairs' experience. This Grade II listed building with elegant rooms displaying fine period furniture an impressive art collection and well stocked library epitomises an Edwardian country house in its heyday.

Leaving the State Rooms and descending 'Below Stairs ' the visitor can imagine how the staff carried out their duties in the purpose built servant's quarters.  The Butlers Pantry and the Housekeepers Room are full of household articles from another age and the Old Kitchen is well equipped with all manner of kitchen utensils.
