York House is a fine 17th century building, with a fascinating history, set in beautiful grounds on the banks of the Thames.

The following rooms are available for hire and are suitable for a variety of functions.

• The Clarendon Hall and Hyde Room.These are suitable for weddings, concerts, musicals, plays, fairs and large meetings. The rooms are licensed for public music, dancing and stage plays.
• The Salon, the Terrace Room and Terrace Parlour. These are suitable for receptions and meetings but music or dancing is not permitted. The Terrace Room has access to the gardens.
• The Council Chamber. This is suitable for meetings and seminars. All rooms can be hired in conjunction with each other to suit your requirements.
• Civic Marriage Ceremonies. The Terrace Room and Salon can be hired for ceremonies. A separate leaflet can be obtained on request from the Lettings Officer

York House, a listed civic building which dates from the 17th Century, sits amid gardens overlooking The Thames. Two rooms are offered for wedding ceremonies; The Terrace Room and The Salon. The Salon, an ornate stuccoed room overlooking the driveway, seats 70 guests. The Terrace Room, which opens out onto the Terrace and Gardens, is large enough for 40 seated or 50 standing guests. The Terrace Room can now be booked online for civil ceremonies.

In addition to The Terrace Room and The Salon, York House offers The Hyde Room and Clarendon Hall for receptions. The Hyde Room can cater for 70 seated guests, and up to 100 for a buffet, while Clarendon Hall can cater for 200 and 250 respectively. Contract caterers are used, or self-catering facilities are available.
